About THEA-O-LITT
Thea-O-Litt is a nonprofit organization dedicated to harnessing the transformative power of the arts to foster theatre, literature, social awareness, cultural understanding, and personal growth. Our mission, "Making Stars out of the Ordinary," reflects our belief in every individual’s potential to shine and make a meaningful impact on society. Through our own theatre group and inclusive platforms in theatre, literature, music, and visual arts, we encourage creative expression, cultural exchange, and youth empowerment. Our values—creativity, inclusivity, community, and sustainability—guide us as we build a vibrant, supportive community that nurtures talent and promotes a legacy of cultural stewardship and social responsibility.
About Aninditha
Founder & Secretary
Aninditha Senguptaa has had an illustrious career as a film journalist, having worked as Mumbai correspondent for the renowned Bengali film magazine Anandalok.
Aninditha has made her mark nearly two decades of experience in the Bengal film industry as a talented story- script-dialogue writer, includes notable Bengali feature films such as ‘Sakal Sandhya’ and ‘Khalnayak’ , collaborating with prominent actors like Prasenjit Chattopadhyay, Rachana Banerjee, Tapas Paul.
Beyond films, she has written for over 2700 episodes of popular mega-series such as ‘Pratikkha Ektoo Bhalobasr’ , ‘Kon Se Alor Swapno Niye’ , ‘Lajja’, ‘Samay’, Tithir Atithi and ‘Saptopodi – Ayee Khooku Ayee’.
Aninditha’s diverse portfolio also includes 48 Telefilms, theatre ‘Atolanto’ for the popular theatre group Natakwala Kolkata. Transcripted B.R.Chopra’s Hindi Mahabharat, 7 series and 17 South Indian films in Bengali. She has contributed to several advertising projects in Mumbai.
Aninditha has featured as an actor in a Oriya film ‘Katha Rahithibo Karlo Karlokoo, Bengali film ‘Dus Number Bari’ , theatre ‘Saheb O Sundori’ and ‘Sahorer Itikatha’ and several telefilms. She also lent her voice for several English and Hindi actors as Bengali dubbing artist.
Aninditha is currently focusing on Thea-O-Litt, with aspirations to continue using her talents to create impactful work to raise awareness about important societal issues through theatre and literature. She is actively supporting needy and street animals. Her interests also extend to traveling and exploring new cultures, which further fuel her creativity.
Beyond academics, she is a gifted orator who has hosted numerous shows, demonstrating her expertise in organising and improvising cultural programs. For three consecutive years, she was selected by the CISCE Board as an examiner, a testament to her commitment to education. A passionate poet, she channels her creativity into writing, while also enjoying music and cooking. With her involvement in Theolit, she aims to inspire and engage students through theatre and literature, fostering a love for the arts while promoting community outreach and creative expression.
About Shibaji Sengupta
President
Shibaji has a deep passion for exploring new places, cultures, people, and subjects. He loves engaging in meaningful discussions that allow him to share these experiences with others, fostering mutual growth and understanding.
He is deeply committed to understanding his craft and keeping things simple, with a strong emphasis on clarity. Also, passionate about embracing new challenges. As a result-driven professional with extensive experience in Sales and Marketing, as well as managing Training and Operations in BPO and KPO sectors, he thrives in dynamic environments. Additionally, he offers freelance training across a variety of subjects, allowing him to blend his skills with his love for knowledge-sharing. While still in his teens, Varanasi Gharana awarded him a Sangeet Visharad (expert) certificate in percussion.
Currently, Shibaji has taken on challenging roles and responsibilities, with the goal of excelling in each. As an aspiring impact professional, he is particularly interested in contributing to and learning from the ever-evolving education, art & culture sectors through Thea-O-Litt.
About Arpita Banerjee
Creative Director
Arpita Banerjee is an extremely passionate, hardworking, and dedicated personality. Born in Assam and raised in Bangalore.
She has navigated a life shaped by both Science and Art. With a Postgraduate degree in Biotechnology, she has worked in the field of Science for over a decade and a half, seamlessly, blending her analytical mind with her deep passion for creativity. Alongside her professional career, where she is often referred as the ‘Fun Catalyst’ and ‘Sunshine’,
Arpita is a semi-classical dancer who finds immense joy in expressing the soulful beauty of Rabindra Sangeet through her movements. For her, dance is not just an art form—it’s a powerful medium for channelling energy, connecting with people, and spreading positivity. She believes that through dance, one can express a wide range of emotions and experiences that resonate with people on a deeper level.
Her dance journey began early, from performing welcome dances in Nursery, to college fests, to corporate events to eventually creating her own choreographies. The process of self-learning continues to drive her, and during the lockdown, she took the opportunity to delve into the nuances of Kathak and Odissi online. Further exploring Bharatnatyam, Rabindra Nritya, and Bollywood styles.
Over the years, she has honed her craft by attending workshops with renowned artists such as Devesh Mirchandani, Nicole & Sonal of Team Nach, Natya Social’s Vinayak Ghosal, Ritu Gupta, Enette D’souza, and Pravin Agawane.
Two years ago, Arpita launched a YouTube channel under her name to share her passion for dance with a larger audience. Through this platform, she aims to spread the joy and happiness that dance brings into her life, while continuing to make new connections through her art. Dance, for her, is a lifelong journey of connection, creativity, and boundless joy.
As a part of Theaolitt, she aspires to continue her journey of learning and spreading her warmth and smile across millions through dance!
